An Exciting 2019 – 2020 Equestrian Season Ahead

The Al Habtoor Polo Resort and Club gears up for another season with a packed calendar full of Polo tournaments, Show Jumping and Dressage competitions, and more fun-filled events.

 

The Al Habtoor Riding School had an Open Evening on the 20th of September and offered free riding assessment sessions, pony rides, stable tours, free riding demos by its highly qualified instructors, and information about the Pony Club for everyone. The event gave the participants a taste of the full equine experience through riding assessments and allowed them to get up close with the horses in the stables.

The Polo Academy followed suit as it hosted an Open Day on the 05th of October. Led by the Academy’s Head Coach, the free event provided an Introduction to Polo session to individuals with an interest in the Sport of Kings. The session involved a brief theory coupled with a hands-on demonstration of the sport.

 

The Club is looking forward to a series of AHPRC Show Jumping competitions scheduled to run monthly starting in October 2019 with several Dressage competitions throughout the season. The Club is proud to be a part of the Emirates Equestrian Federation calendar and will host a National Show Jumping Competition in 27 - 28 March 2020.

The polo calendar features fifteen tournaments comprising of low, medium and high-goal tournaments. Aside from the Halloween Cup, UAE National Day Cup, Sir Winston Churchill Cup and the AHPRC Leagues, a new addition to this year's roster is the first-ever Ladies Charity Cup that brings forth the strength of women in sports. 

The Dubai Polo Gold Cup Series continues and is scheduled to kick off on the 24th of January 2020. The Silver Cup, Polo Masters Cup, Gold Cup (Dubai Open), Dubai Challenge Cup and Dubai Cup anticipates the participation of the world's well-known polo teams and players capping off Dubai's prestigious polo calendar.
