The Al Habtoor Polo Resort and Club Show Jumping Training Competition.
The Al Habtoor Polo Resort and Club proudly hosted a Show Jumping Training Competition on Wednesday the 18th of January 2017.
A fun and relaxed evening of training competition.
Alison Abrahams judged the show and commented: “It was a lovely evening, it’s always a pleasure coming here to Al Habtoor Polo Resort and Club. We had some great show jumping today showing some very promising young horses.”
Riders and horses from several stables competed, many returning faces and a few new ones as well. One of our own rising stars, Darci Ferhnert, 9, was absolutely beaming as she won the 60 cm Class 2 on our riding school pony Rolo and exclaimed “My 30 cm round didn’t go too well, but this one was amazing, Rolo was a really good boy. And I was competing against adults!” We are sure to see great things from this young rider.
Over 35 entries competed in the 5 classes, which went up to jumps of 110 cm. Once again the feedback from riders was great and everyone is happy to have this excellent facility adding to the equestrian community of the UAE.
The winners of the 5 classes were:
Class 1 - 1st place: Abdulaziz Ahli on Al Jamal Capree
Class 2 - 1st place: Darci Ferhnert on Rolo
Class 3 - 1st place: Leen Ismal on O. Rabella
Class 4 - 1st place Emmie Khayat on Desperado
Class 5 - 1st place: Samia Ataya on Real Deal Holyfield
